What personal property does my homeowners policy protect?
There are many areas of protection. Here are just a few.
Loss of Use – If a covered loss requires you to leave the residence premises, we will cover the required increase in living expenses so you may maintain your normal standard of living.
Credit Card, Counterfeit Money and Forgery Coverage - Pays up to $500 for theft or unauthorized use.
Building Additions/Alterations Coverage - Pays up to a limit of 10% of personal property limit to protect your home improvements.
We cover insured personal property in a building at the residence premises for loss due to temperature change resulting from power interruption. There must be damage to the residence premises caused by a covered peril.
Certain high-valued personal property may exceed the coverage limits provided by the policy. You can obtain coverage to protect these items by scheduling them through a Personal Articles Floater.

A Reamstown Mutual Homeowners policy also includes Personal Liability and Medical Payments to Others coverage.
Personal Liability provides protection against injury to others or destruction of others' property, including medical expenses, ambulance charges, hospital expenses and cost of a registered nurse.
Reamstown Mutual Insurance Company provides a package policy covering property and liability for owner occupied Mobile Homes as well as individuals whom reside in a Mobile Home as a tenant. Many of the coverages offered in this Mobile owner's policy are similar to those offered under our Homeowners policy. How does the personal liability coverage work?
Your homeowners insurance also includes personal liability coverage:
Protects you and your spouse or any relatives living with you and anyone under age 21 in your care against claims you're legally obligated to pay due to bodily injury, sickness, disease, and death of others.
Pays cost of defending claim against you (see policy),
